One of my customer service pet peeves is not being able to find a highly visible toll-free phone number on a site.

The technology I couldn’t live without is keyword search.

When shopping online, I have a weakness for free shipping!

Lynn Pregont, Partner-Affiliate

Lynn Pregont has channeled a career in retail marketing/merchandising into a specialization in new media and interactive shopping. Since 1987 she has been incorporated as Lynn M. Pregont, Ltd. Over that twenty-year-plus span her focus on “future” shopping has evolved from testing, producing and/or distributing shopping vehicles via video cassette, video wall, kiosk, broadcast TV, cable TV, CD-ROM, interactive TV and ultimately via the Internet. Clients have included merchants, manufacturers, shopping center developers, technology firms and the media.

Today she also specializes in improving multi-channel shopping experiences as a Partner-Affiliate with the e-tailing group, inc. in Chicago, IL. Lynn contributes to proprietary research and client projects that provide strategic and ecommerce merchandising solutions for merchants selling on line as well as to those firms targeting that market.

Prior management positions in manufacturing (Estee Lauder International, Vassarette Lingerie), retailing (Chas. A. Stevens, Lane Bryant, R.H. Macy’s), running her own retail advertising and promotion agency (The Retail Group, Inc.) and in retail business development for the media (WLS/ABC- TV), have provided Lynn with a first-hand understanding of how to use technology as a tool for improving the entire shopping cycle. Her grassroots experience specific to the Shopping Center Industry was gained while handling tenant participatory advertising and promotions for one of her agency’s clients, Woodfield Mall (at that time the largest enclosed mall in the US with over 500 merchant tenants).

Lynn’s speaking engagements have included The Direct Marketing Association’s Seminar Series, Blue Martini’s User Group Conference and chairing the Marketing to Women 2000 Conference. She is a member of Shop.org and The Fashion Group, International and holds a degree in Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, NY.

Lynn’s personal dream is to see true convergence of the TV, computer and telephone reach critical mass within her lifetime. As these technologies meld, she believes it is essential to balance a mix of information, education and entertainment to deliver the best possible user experience.
